This is one of the most important celebrations in the Bolivian calendar. The celebration is deep into the catholic roots of the country. It includes processions and parades on every city and town.
The long Holiday (starts on Thursday and ends on Sunday), it's used for many Bolivians as a chance for a short vacation; therefore most hotels are completely booked during this days. We recommend you to do your reservation well in advance if possible; and to double check with the hotel, for availability at least one day before you get there.
The peoples favorites are: Coroico in La Paz, Uyuni Salt flats in Potosi, the Las Misiones or Samaipata in Santa Cruz, etc.
